Michael Jennings, MD is the founder of PFP. A native of Tennessee, he grew up in a small farming community where the only physicians were the revered country doctors who did it all – delivered babies, set broken bones, took out appendices, and treated everyone’s ailments. These model practitioners were the backbone of the emerging field of family medicine when Michael was growing up.
Following a 4-year tour with the Marine Corps, he earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, graduated medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and completed a three-year residency in family medicine at the University of California-Davis program.
With over 25 years experience in many different practice models, Dr. Jennings understands the frustration and disappointment that patients feel in volume-based practices. He founded Personal Family Physicians in 2009 to deliver excellent primary care through a proactive, personal relationship with his patients.
Michael’s other interests include camping, hiking, biking, astronomy, ham radio, and working with the neighborhood emergency preparedness program.
Marilyn oversees the back office functions at PFP and has worked as a medical assistant for over 15 years. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from California State University Chico. She is an avid knitter and loves spending time with her grandkids.
Pamela is the office manager for PFP. She studied at the University of Utah and has worked in the fields of administration, professional organizing, and finance. As the mother of three, she loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
